- Synthesis of ZSM-5 from Lampung natural zeolites as a source of silica-alumina, and cabocyl as an additional source of silica, was performed by using an organic template of Tetra Propyl Ammonium Bromide (TPABr). The effects of molar ratios of SiO2/Al2O3 on the crystallinity percentage of ZSM-5 product was investigated in this synthesis. Synthesis was hydrothermally conducted in an autoclave at 180 oC, autogeneous pressure, and reaction time of 24 hours. Formula for ZSM-5 Synthesis is Na- Al2O3-x SiO2-H2O-TPABr. The values of x as big as 40, 60, 80, 100, dan 120 were varied in this research. Products of the synthesis were characterized by means of X-ray diffraction method (XRD). Results of characterization indicated that ZSM-5 was formed as a primarily product for all molar ratios of SiO2/Al2O3, while there were still available ZSM-11 dan SAPO-11 as intermediate products in metastable phase. The highest crystallinity percentage of ZSM-5 was obtained at molar ratio of SiO2/Al2O3 of 120 mol/mol as big as 120%. Keywords: synthesis of ZSM-5, TPABr template, molar ratio of SiO2/Al2O3.
