- Project activities are activities that take place within a limited period, with an allocation of certain recources to carry out task that have cleary defined objectives. This research was done on contracting company CV. Duta Konstruksi Jaya Abadi located at Pasir Salam Raya Street No.7 , the object of research is taken from a factory building revitalization UD. Mitra on Cibolerang Street No. 173 Bandung. The company has a problem, where the project is delaying in project completion time. The project completion time set in the contract is 4 months starting from December 2009 through March 2010, but to schedule completion of projects carried out without changes, it will be delayed 2 weeks from the time of the contract, the contractor consequently penalized for breach of contract so that the project should be an effort to solve the delays on the project activitiy. This study aimed to find the best way to solve the problems experienced by the company. The first step is to review and details of any work activities that exist in the project and preparation of the WBS (Work Breakdown Structure), then replace the original network (barchart) by PDM (Precedence Diagram Method) for determining the completion time, determining the critical activities and calculate the number of workers required in each activity, further study which activity has been delayed progress. In The next step, two alternatives arise, completion of the project completed on time with adjustments (revised) schedule and resources or the project was completed late but fixed resource settings such as at first. If changes the schedule, will lead to increased project cost budget of Rp 17,630,000, - than when charge a penalty fee amounting to Rp 29,082,350, - as a result of the breach of the contract project. Based on the research objectives can be concluded as follows: details of the order of activities in the project work breakdown structure which includes a Level I (full scope), level II (main unit), level III (activity units); determination by the project completion time PDM method may take 16 weeks or 4 months, and to solve the problems of delay in completion of the project proposed by way of completing projects on time with the adjustment of scedule and resources by adding a fee of Rp 17,630,000, -
