- The work illustrates the depth analysis of Laweyan Surakarta batik merchant house using space-syntax method. The house plan were projected into four layers of transparent surface according to each areas' result of depth calculation. Areas on each layers were marked with dots in different hue, then connected to each other. This layered illustration shows Javanese sense of appropriateness in order to perform harmony in their dwelling architecture.
