- This study aims to examine topics of accounting research that has been done in Indonesia and abroad in the period 2011-2015 and to identify research topics of accounting agenda in the future. This research is very useful for researchers and students who will choose a topic for thesis and dissertation as well as useful for the practitioner to know the development of accounting research and its contribution to business environment. Topics of accounting research in Indonesia are traced through journals in the scope of accredited accounting and accounting articles presented at the National Symposium on Accounting . Topics of accounting research abroad traced through accounting journal that are published by AAA (American Accounting Association). Agenda of the topics of accounting research in the future are also described in this paper.
