- The banking sector in Indonesia continues to grow rapidly. The role of banks as institutions are not limited to storage of clients' funds to spare the old days but for all the role of everyday life. Coverage of bank operations as well as the wider diversity and sophistication of banking products, leading to competition between banks is unavoidable. Therefore, the use of the Balanced Scorecard is needed to run the company into the success of future competition, especially in competitive strategy.The object of research in this thesis, namely PT. Bank UOB Buana. Through this thesis, the author tries to introduce the Balanced Scorecard as a strategic management system to obtain long-term success of the company. Balanced Scorecard translates the vision, mission and strategy into operational objectives and performance measures into four perspectives, namely: financial perspectives (financial perspective), the customer perspective (customer perspective), internal business process perspective (internal business process perspective), and perspective learning and growth (learning and growth perspective). In building the Balanced Scorecard, the author uses six stages, namely (1) identify the cornerstone of the organization, (2) build the overall business strategy, (3) describes the business strategy into components smaller, (4) create a strategy map, (5) develop performance measures, (6) identify the initiatives necessary for the implementation of the strategy.
