- This research is to learn the resiliency in women who have mentally retarded children in special schools "X" Bandung. Basic theory used is the theory of resiliency from Bonnie Benard (2004). The method used is descriptive method with purposive sampling technique, the samples in this study is the mothers of mentally retarded childern in special schools "X" Bandung. This study used a questionnaire, to measure resiliency as modified by the researcher based on resiliency theory from Bonnie Benard. Based on statistical data processing by using the Spearman test validity ranging from -0.054 - 0.821 and the item's 0.646 reliability. Based on the data procesing of the 30 respondents, is it was found 36.7% of respondents have a high resiliency, 26.7% of respondents have a low resiliency. Respondents with high resiliency show their strength in four aspects of personal strenghts, respondents with low resiliency show their weak in four aspects of personal strengths.
