Daftar Isi:
- Class III skeletal maloclusion can be defined as a skeletal facial deformity characterized by a forward mandibular position in respect to the maxilla. This position can be caused by mandibular prognathism, maxillary retrognathism, or a combination of both. In growing patients, treatment of class III skeletal maloclusion can be performed by growth modification and by optimizing the potential growth. The growth modification appliance commonly used for mandibular prognathism is the chin cap. An accurate diagnostic is required to choose the appropriate treatment.
