  • The rapid changes in business environment has encouraged companies to reevaluate how they manage their business in order to compete and survive in the field of business. The size of the company’s performance required to provide an evaluation of the achievement of company objectives. Kaplan and Norton developed a new approach to the field of strategic managemnet that called the Balanced Scorecard that looked at the company’s perfomance is not just one perspective, but use the four perspectives of financial, customers, internal business process and learning and growth. Through the Balanced Scorecard enables managers to improve the effectiveness and performance of the company continuously and keep the customer satisfaction. The object of this research were done in Star Auto Centre Company, and that method used is description verification research approach and case studies using questionnaires as the primary data collectors and the statistical tests using Correlation Pearson. The testing of the hypothesis use the t test, with significance level of 5%. The according to the calculation of the correlation coefficient values that using by the Pearson shows that there is a weak influence between the application of the effectiveness of the Balanced Scorecard performance measurement system. The influence that happens is a positive influence so that if the application of the Balanced Scorecard increases, it would causes the increased effectiveness of performance measurement system.
