  • A link between inflammation and cancer has long been suspected. Recent studies have identified the role of transcription factors nuclear factor-kB (NF-kB) and signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3) in inflammation-induced tumor. In this review, we focus on the role of NF-kB and STAT3 in regulating functions of cancer cells and surrounding non-tumorigenic cells to create a tumor microenvironment that enhance tumor promotion and progression.
