- The product quality is one important element for the company, thus controlling the quality of products is a matter that can not be ignored. Therefore, it takes the existence of the incompetents who can handle quality control issues. This is where a controller is expected role in helping the management to conduct product quality control, especially against the company. The study was conducted at PT. MULTI GARMENJAYA. The purpose of this study was to determine the adequacy of quality control at the company, and to determine the role of controller in the quality control to minimize defects. The study was conducted using descriptive analytical method performed by collecting, processing, and analyzing data to provide a picture of the actual state of the company and clarify the issues under study. The necessary data obtained through library research to obtain a theoretical foundation that is used as a reference in analyzing the data and field research conducted by the submission of questionnaires, interviews, and observation. Based on interviews, observations, and the calculated percentage of responses to questionnaires by 72.17%, it can be concluded that the controller plays a role in quality control to minimize defects product. Thus the hypothesis put forward, namely the controller plays a role in controlling the quality is acceptable.
