- ABSTRACTOne of the contraceptives that can be used after delivery is the Method of Amenorrhea Lactation (MAL) that is contraception that relies exclusively on breastfeeding, meaning that with this method menstruation does not appear regularly for 6 months. Exclusive breastfeeding is breastfeeding only in infants from birth to 6 months of age, with no additional fluids or other foods. The purpose of this research was to investigate the effect of counseling of exclusive breastfeeding and lactation amenore method toward pregnant women knowledge in trimester III. The research design is pre experiment conducted in PBM Ny. "S" Kelurahan Bujel Kecamatan Mojoroto Kediri in January 2018. Using total sampling technique with the samples of 30 pregnant women in trimester III. Result of data analysis using Wilcoxon test got ρ value = 0,00 < α = 0,05 meaning that there is influence between counseling of exclusive breastfeeding and lactation amenore method toward pregnant women knowledge in trimester III. After knowing the results of the research is expected to improve the quality of midwifery services specially provide motivation and mentoring in pregnant women in trimester III to know about Exclusive breastfeeding and Lactation Amenore Method.
