- ABSTRACT Kidney failure is a complement that is unable to maintain metabolic, fluid, and electrolyte balance which causes reduced uremia and azotemia. CRD patients have physical problems that require treatment besides hemodialysis. The use of herbal medicines considers something that is safely taken from natural ingredients. However, the composition of active chemical compounds in herbal medicine also has side effects that can aggravate the kidney's work. The purpose of this study is the discussion of herbal medicine research on hemodialysis patients at Sosodoro, Djatikoesoemo Hospital Bojonegoro. Descriptive quantitative research methods. Conducted in May 2019. The population and sample in the study were some of the patients undergoing hemodialysis totaling 120 people using a sampling formula and the number of samples obtained by 30 respondents. Based on quantitative descriptive analysis, the results about pre and post diagnoses of kidney failure are very different. the highest number before being diagnosed was 9 respondents while after were 3 respondents. confidence in the use of drugs is also still high, 25 respondents. The conclusion is that it is very different when respondents take herbal medicine before and after learning about kidney failure Key Words : Kidney Failure, Herbal Medicine
