  • This research intended to (1) increasing student learning activity and (2) to know the increasing of student result in learning at class V SDN Cikuasa 2 Kecamatan Grogol Kota Cilegon at second semester school year 2013/2014 by using cooperative learning model type word aquare in subject of instruction social knowledge science the subject is independent proklamation by using classroom research metode. This research is done in two steps, each of step according to planning, doing, observation, and reflection. First step there are two meeting and also second step. The result of student activity is taken from observation paper from student activity and the result of student learning is taken from examination test. The result show up: (1) studen activity at class V SDN Cikuasa 2 kecamatan Grogol Kota Cilegon of school year 2013/2014 which aim to cooperative Learning model type word square that is : first step obtain 40% data and second step obtain 73,4% data. (2) the result student learning class V SDN Cikuasa 2 kecamatan Grogol Kota Cilegon of school year 2013/2014 obtain to cooperative learning model type word square is creasing significant for each step by using this cooperative learning model type word square that are first step get result persentation of 30% and second step get result persentation of 75%. From the explanation above we can make summary that cooperative learning model type word square can be increasing student learning activity and student learning result.
