  • This research is based one passive students’ activity and the lack of interest to learn in the middle of learning process, and for that the result of student’s study is low. One of the reason is the methods that are not varied causes passive learning process. The purposes of this research is (1). To upgrade students’ activity in learning natural science through trial and experiment (2) to upgrade students’ outcome using experimental methods. The research methods used is Classroom Action Research that implemented in two cycles, each cycle includes : planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data was collected with test, observation, and field report. The research was held in SDN Sukadalem 2 Kecamatan Waringin Kurung Kabupaten Serang. The subjects of this research are 33 students from 5th grade. The result of the research showed that (1) the application of experimental method could raise students’ learning activity, the percentage of students’ activity in first cycle and first meeting is 50 %. In the second meeting, it’s 71,42 % and for the second cycle is 92,85%. (2) the application of this experimental method could raise students’ activity in learning natural science. This is showed by increased students’ average grades from cycle 1 to cycle 2 .students’ average grades in cycle 1 is 69,69% and in cycle 2 is 87,87%. The conclusion from this research is that learning using experimental method could increase students’ grades in natural science for 5th grade SDN sukadalem 2 kecamatanwaringinkurung, kabupatenserang school year 2013/2014. It is recommended for teachers to apply experimental method in natural science learning to raise students’ grade. Keyword : learning outcomes, natural science (IPA), experimental method aplication
