  • The research was motivatedbythelackofstudent learning outcomes in social science subject which is still using learning strategies at the four grade SDN Kubang Laban. Students generally onlylisten, read and memorizethe information obtained, so the conceptis not strong embedded. The purpose of this study was to determine the learning out comes of students in the social sciences through card sort strategie sand determine the activity of students in the implementation of learning by using card sort strategies. This study used action research by teacher card sort strategies, which was held on two cycles, each cycle consisting of two meeting sincluding planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques in this study using the test results of students' learning, observation of student activity using the assessment scores, and interview guidance. Based on the research that has been carried out, showing that in cycle 1 students which completed a total students as much as 45%. In cycle II to 97.5% an increase of 52.5 % which is in line with the indicators of success which has been established and has been achieved. This study concludes that the application of the card sort strategies in social science learning can improve student learning out comes.
