  • This research aimed to develop a biodiversity contextual-based module throught the use of Solanaceae for biology learning at 10 th grade senior high school student. The method used in this research is research and development method (R & D) with 3D model (define, design, and develop). Based on exploration in Kabupaten Pandeglang has been found eight species of Solanaceae, i.e. cayenne (Capsicum frutescens), chili (Capsicum annuum), eggplant (Solanum melongena), tomato (Soalnum lycopersicum), potato (Solanum tuberosum), leunca (Solanum nigrum), takokak (Solanum torvum), and kecubung (Brugmansia candida). Solanaceae diversity used as contents for genetic-level biodiversity, species-level biodiversity, and ecosystem-level biodiversity. The quality of assessment module done by the experts. The instrument used to assess the quality of module using a questionnaire that cover five aspects, that are content, contextuall component, language, lay out, and design. The result showed that biodiversity contextual-based module has means 92,27 % with very good category. Keywords : Module, Contextual, Solanaceae, Biodiversity, R&D
