- The study entitled improve student learning outcomes around the fifth grade in the event of the proclamation of independence mealui implementation of cooperative models snowball throwing aims to bring the world to learn to connect with real life sehinnga improving student learning outcomes IPS. Researchers using cooperative learning model type of snowball throwing that aim to improve attention, activity and learning outcomes of students in the learning process to follow in order to obtain optimal learning results. The formulation of the problem of this study are (1) how the student learning activities using cooperative learning model snowball throwing, and (2) how the learning outcomes after using cooperative learning model snowball throwing. This study uses a Class Action Research (Classroom Action Research), which consist of planning, action, observation and reflection. Seen from the preliminary data the graduation rate of students is only 19.4%, or 7 people who graduated from number 36 learners so that the learning process has not been optimally implemented. After being given an action using cooperative learning model snowball throwing in the first cycle the number of learners who pass by KKM or 77,8 increased to 28%, and the second cycle increased to 32 people, or 89%. After being given an action using cooperative learning model snowball throwing in the first cycle of activity learners achieve 11 indicators, or 68.75%, and the second cycle increased to 14 indicators or 93.75%. It can be concluded that the use of cooperative learning model throwing snowball can increase the activity and student learning outcomes panancangan V SD Negeri 3.
