- A paper entitled "Improving Students' progress of Social Science by Using Example and Non-Example collaborate Siti Hadijah model aims to highlight the learning progress of four grade students in SDN Melandang who have low grades in final test of social science. This indicates that the teacher formerly used the less various models of teaching, such as only delivering a speech or merely giving an assignment which bring the boredom to the students. This study uses the Example and Non-Example models as the learning model with some pictures as the media to deliver the learning material. This model aims to encourage the students to think critically in solving the problem with the pictures provided. Additionally, the students are actively involved in teaching-learning activities. In an attempt to test the learning model, this Classroom Action Research uses two cycles. 32 of four grade students of SDN Melandang participate in this study. Findings indicate that in the first cycle, the average grades is 62 or 62,5 % students passed the test, but 37,5 % did not passed. However, in the second cycle, the improvement has shown that the average grade steps up to 78,75 or 94 % students passed the test. Findings indicate the learning progress in the second cycle has reached the indicator of success as targeted 80 %. It show that the use of example and non- example model in social science learning of four grade student improves their learning progress.
