  • Plankton is a microscopic organism that lives floating in water, has a weak swimming ability so that its movement is influenced by the current. Plankton can produce oxygen in the water and is a food for other organisms such as fish and shrimp. Dinoflagellate a large group of micro algae. Most Dinoflagellates inhabit a sea of tropical waters as well as subtropical waters. Dinoflagellata role as the primary producer of sea. Life at sea depends heavily on phytoplankton as the primary producer group. The methods used in this research is using survey method, by doing water sampling from 5 point which have been determined. This study was conducted in December 2017 - January 2018 with sampling 3 replications within 15 days of each test. The Results of research on identification of plankton in coastal waters of Tanjung Kait Tangerang Regency as well as its relation with physics-chemical parameters of aquatic plankton found at all points of research are Chaetoceros brevis 101884,8 Ind/L, Ceratium biceps 47294,033 Ind/L, Cerentum pentagonum 15749,667 Ind/L, Chaetoceros lorenzianus 4499,802 Ind/L, Ceratium tripos 7499,91 Ind/L, Ceratium slide 139794,5414 Ind/L, Dinophysis acuta 4269,9478 Ind/L, Peridinium crassipes 17099,7948 Ind/L. The result of correlations between plankton abundance and the physics-chemical factor of waters shows that temperature and nitrite have an association with plankton abundance, whereas the parameters of nitrate, phosphate, PH, salinity, DO have no significant correlation .
