- Nationalism has always been an issue that will never exist in a multicultural country like Indonesia. The main purpose of this paper is to understand the problem of keanan and keindonesiaan. This research method uses literature study by using references from national journals and journals relevant to scientific papers. Repopulating the nationalist nationalism nationally or to Indonesia without eliminating the identity of ethnicity is the common ideals of the Indonesian nation and state with its people. The large number of issues of conflict and self-interest are inseparable from the identity of ethnicity or on the basis of disillusionment with the central government, leading to the increasingly multiethnic complexity in Indonesia. Multiethnicity as the grace of God Almighty should be grateful to all the people of Indonesia. Divisions and problems related to etnicity in indonesia back together in the perspective of the spirit of nationalism. Keywords: Democracy; Etnicity; Nationalism.
