- The purpose of this researchi was to know the correlation between student’s cognitive abilities and skills in making concept map ecosystem with application of group investigation. Model this research was held on 19 May and 26 May 2014. The research method was quantitative descriptive method. The sample were all students in class X of SMA Negeri 4 Pandeglang academic year 2013/2014 and the sample of research grade X MIA 4 taken by random sampling. Students’s cognitive abilities measured by multiple choice questions. The skills in the making concept map ecosystem measured by creating concept map ecosystem. The result showed cognitive ability students is 81,07 % which include to excellent category. Skills making concept map ecosystem are classified as students an exellent category as much 80%, students an good category as much 16,66% and students an anough categories as much 3,33% . Correlation of the test result 0,917 indicate there were relationship between cognitive ability and skills making concept map ecosystem and the result of significance test of 0,000 indicated there is a very strong relationship a both.
