- This research in the village Baros who was one of the center production rice in district of Baros. The purpose of this research was to compare the contribution of the results of farming and non farming rice, and compares level equalization income distribution family income from farm rice farming and non farming. This research used a survey method. Retrieval of the respondents was conducted by the method of stratified random sampling, with the respondent as much as 59 family rice farmers. Processing techniques and data analysis using descriptive analysis. The results of this study, namely a total family income of farmers amounting to Rp. 1.336.230.000/year with total income from farming rice amounting to Rp. 797.430.000/year and income from non farming is Rp. 538.800.000/year. The contribution of income from farming rice of 59,68% and the contribution of income from non farming rice of 40,32%. The level uneven distribution of family income level of farmers of rice in the village Baros belongs to low with a gini index of 0,26 from rice farming is being with a gini index of 0,40 and from non farming rice farming is being with a gini index of 0,55. It means rice farming can reduce the level of unequal income distribution. Keywords: Rice farming family, contributions and income distribution.
