- Rice is one of the national food that has become the staple food of most of Indonesia's population. Increasing agricultural production, especially rice production is one step of agricultural development in an effort to achieve the goals of national development. One of the most important factors of production in rice fanning is the use of quality rice seeds in order to produce maximum productivity. Kramatwatu sub-district is one of rice seed producing area in Serang Regency through rice seed breeding farm. The purpose of this research is to know the factors (education, land area, income, and age) that influence farmers in choosing business as fanner breeder of paddy seed in Kramatwatu District. The method used is survey method, with the determination of the location done intentionally because Kramatwatu District is the producer of rice seed. The analysis used is descriptive analysis with the number of samples of 30 farmers breeder of rice seed.From the results of the study explained that the factors that influence farmers in choosing a business as a breeder of rice seedlings are land area, length of farming, and income. While the age factor and education does not affect the farmers in deciding their business.
