Daftar Isi:
- Indonesia is a country that has a variety of cultures and religions so that the identity in his community is so very important, post-reform sentiment between groups strengthened both religious and ethnic groups, sentiment among groups is then accommodated and used by political elites as a weapon in the election in areas including in Jakarta which is a barometer of state politics. The theoretical approach used in this research is identity politics, multiculturalism and political participation. From the analysis using the theory can be concluded that the political elite and candidate head of the region, as deliberately maintain or play the identity politics, for political interests and hegemony of power. As we see in the political realities in the election of Governor of DKI Jakarta 2017 last year. With a certain identity, candidate candidates can bargain position, this shows significant ethnic and religious factors to gain support and influence the people's choice in the 2017 Governor Election Jakarta. Keywords: General Election; Jakarta; Political Identity.
