- The aims of the study were to determine the composition of species and structure of fish communities in mangrove ecosystem Cagar Alam Pulau Dua (CAPD) and properness field trip book manual. Descriptive survey research method was applied and the station was selected by purposive sampling. study was conducted in December 2014 in the coastal water of sawah luhur, Kasemen, Serang city. Fish specimens were collected by trammel net, gill net, and bambootrap. Sample was initially preserved in 10 % formaldehyde and than Fish identification done in Indonesian Institute of Science-Research Center For Biologi (LIPI). The parameter which observed consist of temperature, salinity,pH and DO. Fish communities in CAPD from this studies 289 specimens belongs to 11 families Gobiidae, Eletrodidae, Scatophagidae, Siganidae, Amabassidae, Megalopidae, Mugilidae, Lobotidae, Luntjanidae, Bagridae and Therapontidae. index of density in highest category is Liza tade as many as 170 individuals (0,588), Diversity Index (H’) 1,75 at stations I, Evenness Index (E) 0,79 at stations I, Dominance Index (D) 0,75 at stations II in highest category. The pattern of distribution (Id) Osteichthyes at mangrove ecosystem was clumped. The result of the test field manual instrument getting score 77,95% with good category.
