  • The cannabis user student is a subculture group who communicated symbolically, but the use of symbolic language can perceptible by the users only .While the self- concept of cannabis users have not been known. This research aims to find out the use of symbolic language consisting of the verbal symbolic language known as the term argot, non verbal symbolic language; and self-concept users. A theory that used in this research is the Symbolic Interaction Theory Mead’s, it formulate three concept about Mind, Self and Society. In this research the author used the descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The data collection techniques that used by the author in this research is in-depth interviews and documentation. The data analysis done with the qualitative data analysis technique which is follow the Miles and Huberman model there are reduction, presentation and verification. To test the validity of the data, the author used triangulation technique. The Informants of this research composed by five people who are marijuana user students in the Serang city. The result of this research is the verbal symbolic communication that used by the cannabis user students in Serang city known with the term 'argot'. Then, the non verbal symbolic communication that used by the cannabis user students in Serang city can be identified with the use of the 4.20 sign. The cannabis attributes signature and self concept of the cannabis user students in Serang city constructed their self as the user who have an education by the used of symbolic language.
