- This study discusses The Local Government Strategies in Alleviation of Underdeveloped Villages in Pandeglang Regency, Banten Province. The aim of this research is to know and analyze how the strategy by the local governments in the alleviation of underdeveloped villages in Pandeglang Regency. The method used is descriptive research method with qualitative approach. The results of this study based on the theory of SWOT analysis quoted in Siagian (2008: 172), consists of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats can be concluded that the strategy of local government in the alleviation of underdeveloped villages in Pandeglang Regency, Banten Province has not run optimally, especially in the village of Idaman village in the district of Patia and Kutakarang village in the district of Cibitung become a case study in this research because the Pandeglang local government has some flaws in them that the road infrastructure is not making it difficult to adequately implementing activities in carrying out the activities, budget constraints, the participation rate of agencies Pandeglang still low, monitoring in less than optimal implementation of activities, as well as the lack of human resources as an extension of family planning (KB) in Kutakarang village in the district of Cibitung. Those things are an inhibiting factor in the alleviation of underdeveloped villages in Pandeglang Regency. By doing so, the Pandeglang local goverment recommended in order to add a budget allocation by utilizing funds Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of companies that are in Pandeglang for rural development is lagging behind, to prioritize the construction of roads and bridges in advance for roads and bridges is crucial, increase the participation of agencies in the Pandeglang local government environmental by giving priority programs as required by the community.
