- Domestic violence has increased relatively in every year. This should be seen as ice mountain phenomenon where the obvious cases are just small part of reality that is happening. Government of South Tangerang regional has tried to overcome these domestic violence problems through The Community Empowerment Board of Women Empowerment and Family Planning (BPMPPKB) that works as the executor to control program policy, protection and the facilitate policy integration and do coordination of performing the policies of women and child protection with related institution such as regional police, LBH and P2TP2A, health division and social and employment division. This study aims to figure out "The Performance of The Community Empowerment Board of Women Empowerment and Family Planning (BPMPPKB) on South Tangerang city handling domestic violence problems". This study was based on Dwiyanto's (2002:48) performance indicator reference. The methodology of this research used descriptive qualitative approach and data collection technique was performed through observation, interview, and documentation study. The results show that The Performance of The Community Empowerment Board of Women Empowerment and Family Planning (BPMPPKB) of South Tangerang city in handling domestic violence problems was not performed in optimal way, one of the cause is the limitation of human resource and there is no specific agenda in socializing the laws covering the problems. So it needs recruitment human resource increasing, and also need make a schedule for program of the laws covering socialization to society.
