- Thematic learning in elementary school should be supported with adequate media. Results of a preliminary study in class 5 SDN Simpang Tiga Cilegon known to thematic media is still limited. The aim of this research development is to generate a thematic monopoly as a media which is suitable for the learning process of grade 5 students of SDN Simpang Tiga Cilegon. This study is a Research and Development (R & D), with three phase consisting of phase of define, design and develop. The feasibility of this study is based on the evaluation by the media expert, language expert, materials expert, and grade 5 students as the subject of this study. In this study, the data are collected using interview and questionnaire. While the data are then analyzed using a quantitative descriptive analysis. Based on analysis of the data can be summed up the quality of Monopoly Thematic media developed is in the proper category with the percentage 85.30% of media expert, 90% of language expert and 90.67% of materials expert. Student’s response to the Monopoly Thematic media on the trial with 38 respondents of 95.61 % belong to the very good category According to the scores achieved in the evaluation process, it is concluded that this media in the form of thematic monopoly for the thematic study for grade 5 students in elementary school is feasible.
