  • This study aims to develop interactive multimedia-based teaching materials for science subjects in the topic of animal classification based on the type of food. The method used in this study is Research and Development (R & D) with 3D design namely Define, Design, and Develop. Instrument in the study was the questionnaire of the feasibility test by the expert team, the student response questionnaire used a Likert scale. and questionnaire on the effectiveness of student learning. The results of the feasibility test by material experts amounted to 82.46% with a very feasible category and a media expert test of 90,5% with a very feasible category. Limited trials were carried out on fourth grade students of SDN Panancangan 4 in semester 1 of 2018/2019 Academic Year. The results of the students 'response test scores were 92.84% with very good categories, and for the results of questionnaire students' learning effectiveness was 76.06% with very effective categories. Based on the results of expert testing and limited testing of students, interactive multimedia-based teaching materials developed are worthy of being used as teaching materials in the topic animal classification based on the type of food.
