- This research aim to determine the influence of talking stick learning model with the picture media toward cognitive abilities in the sub concept of environment pollution at SMP NEGERI 23 Kota Serang. The research method that used is method of quasi experimental. The research design that used is post-test only control group design, that is, there were two groups, which chosen by random sampling. Samples taken are class VII A as experiment class and class VII D as control class. Sampling was done by random sampling. The result of the research showed that the average score of students' cognitive abilities in the experimental class is 68 with good category and control class is 56.4 with enough category. Based on the results of research concluded that there was influence of talking stick learning model with the picture media toward cognitive ability of student at class VII in the concept of environment pollution in SMPN 23 Kota Serang.
