- This research purposed to determine the influence of problem based learning model towards students’ science literacy at tenth grade in SMA Negeri 3 Cilegon on the biodiversity concept. The method used quasy experiment with randomized control group pretest-postest design. This research was held at tenth grade in SMA Negeri 3 Cilegon on academic year 2017/2018. The sampling technique used simple random sampling with X MIPA 3 as experiment class and X MIPA 2 as control class. The students’ science literacy was measured by competency and attitude aspects. The result of hypothesis test analysis by using t test on significant level α = 0.05, significance value result was 0,000 < 0,05 it means Ho was rejected for science literacy on competency aspects and the significant value of attitude aspects was 0,004 < 0,05 it means, Ho was rejected, therefore it can be concluded that there was influence of problem based learning model towards students’ science literacy at tenth grade in SMA Negeri 3 Cilegon on the biodiversity concept.
