- This research aimed to know students affective and cognitive abilities in zat additive material through the problem based learning model (PBL) at the eight grade students of MTsN Model Pandeglang 1. The researcher used descriptive research method. The design of the research was on shot study cash. The population of this research was an the VIII of MTsN Model Pandeglang 1 academic year 2014/2015. The sample of this research was the students of VIII B class. The technique was random sampling. The research instruments were quesionare and test. The quesionare was used to measure students affective ability. The research used multiple choice test to measure students cognitive ability. The mean score of students affective ability was on exelent category 88,3. The mean score of students cognitive ability was on good category 74,3. Key Word: Problem Based Learning Models (PBL), affective and cognitive.
