  • ABSTRACT Efforts to Improve Learning Outcomes by Using The Method of Demonstration In The Subjects of Reading Maps IPS Classsroom Action Research Conducted in Class IV Sumuranja 2 Elementary School ImanFirmansyah (2227093083) This research entitled Efforts to Improve Learning Outcomes by Using The Method of Demonstration In The Subjects of Reading Maps IPS This research investigate and describe the relationship between students teaching and learning procces and their daily life, so might improve students achievement on social studies. Subject this research consist of statements of the problem: how to make lesson plan and implement learning using demonstration metode and how learning result after demonstration metode. This research was conducted at Four Grade Sumuranja 2 Elementary School, the subject of the research is four grade students that consists of 36 students. The techniques at the data collecting are evaluation test, interview and observation of teachers and student activity during practicing. The data analysis is analized based on the result of evaluation test, the percentage of activity students and activity students at every cycle. The result of analyses is used to fence at the students achievement using demonstration metode.The students achievement for each cycle are as follows: pra cycle 16 students got scores or 44%, meanwhile 20 student got score or 56%. Fist cycle 25 students got scores or 69%, meanwhile 11 students got, scores lesser than 65 or 31%. Second cycle 31 students got score more than 65 or 86% and 5 students or 14% lesser than 65. Third cycle 34 students got higher score or more than 65 or 94%, meanwhile 2 students got scores than 65 because of often factors. It can be concluded that the Using The method of Demonstration on the material reading maps a positive impact on student understading Elementar y School fourth grade sumuranja 2 Key words: Learning Outcomes, Social Studies, Demontration Method, Elementary School.
