- Based on the results of interviews with Indonesian Language teachers at SMA Negeri 15 Pandeglang, most students have difficulty in learning to write short stories. Learning to write a short story is considered a hard learning. This causes the value of writing short stories of students is very low. One of the factors that cause the low ability of writing short stories, students use the learning model less attractive. Therefore, to cope with it, the researchers using the model and the Brainstorming model and the Example Non Example model towards short story writing skills. The purpose of this study to know the influence of both models towards the outcomes of short story writing in the tenth grade of SMA Negeri 15 Pandeglang year 2018/2019. This study used experiment method with Pretest-Posttest design research Control Group Design. This study uses two classes, namely, experiments class and control class. The technique of the data collection conducted in this study that is observation and tests. Based on the hypothesis test has been carried out, the use of Brainstorming model and Example Non Example model effect on the results of the short story writing at the tenth grade of SMA Negeri 15 Pandeglang year 2018/2019. Then do the post test on experimental class and control. The result of post test in experimental class was 4.8621 and control class was 1.6706. Thus, more than (4.8621 > 1.6706) Then the received and rejected. It means, there was a significant difference between the brainstorming model and Example Non Example model effect on the results of the writing short story of SMA Negeri 15 Pandeglang year 2018/2019. the ability of students' Short story writing skill of experiments class used brainstorming model is the superior ability to write a short stories of control class used Example Non Example model. This is due more to Brainstorm a model student thinking after seeing video footage provided by the teacher, since its coverage is broader than the video with a model example of non example just glued on the picture.
