- ABSTRACT The aim of the research is for finding out the influence of using PredictObserve-Explain (POE)learning model to students cricitical thinking skill of human respiratory system concept. This research was conducted in SMAN 3Sub-Province Tangerang academic year 2012/2013. The method of research is used quasi experimental with the non-equivalent control group design. The population in this research were all students of class science grade 2. The sampling technique used in this research were purposive sampling.The research samplewasa class science 3 grade 2 as aPredict-Observe-Explain (POE)learning modelclass with 35 studentsand science 1 grade 2 as a information discussion learning model class with35 students. The instrument use was critical thinking essay tests and working sheet.Analysis of the results of hypothesis testing using t-test at significance level 95% (α = 0.05) andit can be concludedthatthePredictObserve-Explain learning model effect the critical thinking skill of students class science SMAN 3 Sub-Province Tangerang.
