  • The research aims to find out the Application of Problem Posing Learning Model on Student Critical Thinking on Social Sciences Subject Class V In Ciruas State Elementary School 2. In this study used quasi experimental method with non equivalent control group design research design. There are two classes in the experiment and control group. The experimental group in grade V A students consisted of 30 students who were given treatment using Problem Posing Learning model of learning and control class on the students of class V B consisted of 30 students who were given conventional learning. Data collection is done by test with test instrument in the form of stuffing / essay. The data collected were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. Inferential statistical analysis using a one-party test is a right-hand test. Based on the data analysis, there is an improvement of students' critical thinking ability after getting Prolem Posing model on IPS subject with nitai titung of 2.07 and tcable of 1.671 at significance level of 5%, which means tcount> ttable or 2.07> 1.671, it is said that the critical thinking ability of students who get problem posing model is better than students who get the conventional model.
