  • This study aims to determine the results of student learning through the use of cooperative learning model type Snowball Drilling with conventional learning model (used by teachers) on IPS subjects of the subject about the development of communication and transportation technology. The research method used quasi experiment with Design Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sample in this research by Purposive Sampling to choose 2 classes as research subject. In this study, class IV A consists of 35 students as experiment class using Snowball Drilling learning model and class IV B consists of 35 students as control class using conventional learning model (used by teacher). The results showed that there are differences in student learning outcomes using the Snowball Drilling learning model with students using conventional learning models (usually used by teachers). This is evidenced by the calculation result by using t-test of normal and homogeneous data for test of one side (right side), that is tcount> ttable or 2,76> 1,654, then H0 rejected and Ha accepted and student learning result between student using model cooperative learning type Snowball Drilling is higher than the students who use conventional learning model (usually used by teacher).
