- The learning model is a complete learning model because students not only memorize formulas, theories, but can solve problems found in life through the manufacture of products. Based on interviews with researchers at one school, it was shown that the school had never applied a project-based learning model but only carried out conventional learning processes and cognitive learning outcomes of students under the KKM. The study used two classes, namely the experimental class applying the project-based learning model and the control class using conventional learning. Quasi experimental research method. This study was conducted to determine the increase in cognitive learning outcomes of students in the experimental class. The study sample was 35 experimental class students and 35 control class students. Based on the data obtained, it shows that the average Ngain value of the experimental class is 0.74 which is categorized as high and the class control class, the average N-gain value of 0.49 is categorized as medium. Thus it can be concluded that the increase in students' cognitive learning outcomes in momentum material and impulse is higher in the experimental class than in the control class.
