  • This study aims to determine differences in student learning outcomes using models Cooperative Learning Concept Type Sentence some students are using direct learning model (Direct Instruction). This type of research is in the form of a quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group design. Sampling was conducted dengaan using purposive sampling technique. The sample selected is a class as an experimental class IVA and IVB class as a class controls treated using direct learning model. Berdasarkanpengolahan pretest data is obtained by the average value of student learning outcomes IPS experimental class of 46.8 while the control class is 46.9. From the results of different test average value of the class at significant level = 0:05 obtained = 0,01dan = 1.995. So we can conclude that the results of social studies before treatment is given there is no difference. After learning, the second class are given the posttest. Based on the obtained data processing and post-test average results of social studies class students experiment at 74.0 while the control class is 64.5. Of the different test results mean. Based on the results of this study concluded that the results of social studies students use learning model learning Cooperatvite Concept Sentence types there are significant differences and better than students who use direct instructional model (Direct Instruction).
