  • This study aims to determine differences in students learning outcomes, higher where students learning outcomes using the demonstration method by students who using lecture method, and the activity of students in the learning process by using the demonstration method on the subjects of Sciences V class on Subject of Light Characteristic Concept. This research was conducted in SD Negeri Kresek 2 of the school year 2015/2016. This research method is a quasiexperimental. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling to select an experimental class and control class. In this study, the fiftth grade as an experimental class V A and class V B as the control class. Based on the results of this study concluded that there are differences in cognitive learning outcomes of students who use the demonstration of method with that using the lecture of method proved in tests two parties with the t count > t table or 4,77> 2,0010 then H 0 rejected H a accepted. And the results of student learning using the method of demonstration higher than students who use the method of lecture in the test right with t count > t table is 4,77> 1,671 then H 0 is rejected and H a accepted.
