- This research aims to analyse the proportion of food expenditure and consumption on the income, and analyse food security of farmer household in Puloampel subdistricts. This research used descriptive analysis method and survey technique. This research was done in Puloampel subdistricts. The data used in this research are primary and secondary data. The data are collected through an observation, interview and recording. The result of research showed that the average of farmer’s household income are Rp 4.059.933,33, to consist of main income are Rp 1.544.933,33 and the side income are Rp 2.515.000. The everage expenditure on non food is 41,87%, and the average expenditure proportion on food is 58,13%, it means that the proportion of food takes a great pieces of the household’s expenditure. Food security’s condition of farmer household is 58,13%. That is, the farmer households in the Puloampel subdistrict included into class food secure. This research suggest to increase household income to achieve the household’s food security, so the expense proportion of food can be decreased. Key words : Food Security, Farmer Household,
