- Nowdays motorcycle users are so many, it is caused by easy ways that dealers give to their customer. Easy ways that dealers give are such as discount and buy with credit. But like another machine that need maintenance so that the machine keeps operate well and not damaged. Maintenance that pointed here is oil replacing in period time. But the oil price at official workshop is quite high, so it makes individuals thinking to open small workshop and selling sparepart with lower price than official workshop. In their business activity surely it’s not that easy, it’s proved with A.N Motor workshop as research location still using tradiotional method in their operation activity, such as in their inventory controll. A.N Motor Workshop not using theories that experts have develop yet. Even though in simple case they still get profit, but if they use correct method the profit they got can reach at optimal point. So in this case researcher interest to do research in A.N Motor Workshop. This study aims to determine the amount of economic order, order frequency, reorder point, and oil can inventory total cost in A.N Motor workshop. The data used in this study consisted of primary data and secondary data that quantitatively related to the oil can inventory. Primary data were obtained through direct observation and interviews with the workshop owner. Secondary data were obtained from workshop’s documents. The results of this study indicate that the application of EOQ (Economic Order Quantity) method in A.N Motor workshop is more effective and efficient than the simple method that used by the workshop. Application of this method emphasizing that inventory planning is one important thing for the workshop.
