- SUMMARY RAISSA KHOIRUNNISA. The Effect of Giving Various Combination of Growing Media on the Growth and Yield of Some Varieties of Red Chilli Hybrid (Capsicum annum L.). (Guided by Dewi Firnia and Sri Ritawati). This research was aimed to know the effect of giving various combination of growing media, to determine the best combination of growing media and to determine the best varieties of the red chilli hybrid to get the maximum growth and yield of the red chilli hybrid (Capsicum annum L.). The research was conducted at Kebun Percobaan Singamerta Balai Pengkajian Teknologi Pertanian (BPTP) Banten, started from August 2013 until January 2014. The research used Randomized Completely Block Design (RCBD) which consisted of two factors. The first factor was combination of growing media, which consisted of four levels: P0 (soil), P1 (soil + fertilizer chicken manure), P2 (soil + fertilizer cow manure) and P3 (soil + fertilizer goat manure). The second factor was varieties of the red chilli hybrid, which consisted of three levels: V1 (Tanjung-2), V2 (Inko Hot), and V3 (P-Sada 700). The result showed that the variety of P-Sada 700 showed the best growth and the best yield on the fruit number of the yield (7,25 fruit), the fruit weight of the yield (56,04 g), the wet weight of plant the red chilli hybrid (135,33 g), and the dry weight of plant the red chilli hybrid (35,58 g). The combination of growing media on (soil + fertilizer chicken manure), gave the best growth and the best yield on the plant height 7 HST, 14 HST, 21 HST, 28 HST (26,19 cm) and the number of leaves 7 HST, 14 HST, 21 HST, 28 HST (46,61 strands). There was no interaction between the red chilli variety and the combination of the growing media on the growth and yield the plant of red chilli hybrid.
