- ABSTRACT This research aimed to know the influence of the cooperative MURDER model and mind map technique on students’ creative thinking abilities in the concept of environmental pollution at class X MAN Cibaliung. This research was conducted in MAN Cibaliung on academic year 2012/1013. The method used in this research was quasi experimental with randomized control group only design. The samples were 28 students of class XB which were chosen by random sampling technique. Creative thinking was measured by essay question of creative thinking ability as a primary data and mind map as a secondary data and also observation sheets. The result of this study concluding that cooperative MURDER model and mind map technique affect students ability to think creatively in the concept of the environmental pollution at class X MAN Cibaliung at level of significant 95%.
