- Banten Girang and Banten Lama are tourist destination in Banten province that still have a lot of historical relics. Kuncen is a social name that given to someone who have been trusted with the task of keeping a place, location, area sacred. Visitors who come to the site Girang and Banten Banten Lama came from various regions in Indonesia. So the purpose of this study is to investigate and explain the symbols and meanings that are built into the interactions that occur between Kuncen and cultural site visitors Banten Girang and Banten Lama. This study used a qualitative descriptive method. The data obtained through interviews, observation, and study documentation. The participants in this study are Kuncen and cultural site visitors of Banten Girang and Banten Lama. This study used the theory of symbolic interaction. The results of the study found that the interactions that occur at the site of cultural Banten Lama and Banten Girang are more dominant in the use of non-verbal language such as kinetic, paralanguage, touch, time, artefact. Nonverbal languages are interpreted differently by many visitors who come from various regions in Indonesia. In addition, in Banten Lama and Banten Girang, there were many old rituals were still performed and interpreted differently by the visitors who came, like a ritual bath in the bathhouse roro svelte, in Kasunjatan baths, baths Surosowan, rituals of stoking flowers, burn incense, blessing water, put flags on the graves. Symbols used in the verbal interaction in Banten Girang is Sundanese language, and in Banten Lama using the Serang language. Key words : Banten Girang, Banten Lama, Budaya, Interaksi, Kuncen, Visitors
