  • The aim of this research was to know initiation on shoots of marasi (Curculigo latifolia) by In Vitro different concentration of NAA (Naphthalene Acetic Acid) And BAP (Benzyl Amino Purine). This research has been done at Biotechnology Laboratory of Agriculture Faculty, Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University since August to October 2014. This research used Randomized Complete Design (RCD) with two factor. The first factor was NAA concentration with 4 levels, they were mg/l; 0,2 mg/l; 0,4 mg/l; 0,6 mg/l. The second factor was BAP concentration with 4 levels, they were 0 mg/l; 0,5 mg/l; 1 mg/l; 1,5 mg/l, so there were 16 combinations treatment and each treatment had 3 repetitions. The result of this research showed that the growth medium which added NAA 0mg/L + BAP 0,5 mg/L, NAA 0,2 mg/L + BAP 0,5 mg/L and NAA 0,2 mg/L + BAP 1,5 mg/Lgave the shortes time to grow of buds (2,21 day after planting). The combination of NAA 0,4 mg/L + BAP 0 mg/L and NAA 0,2 mg/L + BAP 1,5 mg/L gave the heighest optimum growth for height of. The best result for the number of leave NAA 0,2 mg/L + BAP 0 mg/L and NAA 0,4 mg/L + BAP 0,5 mg/L. All the living explants during the observation reached 83% with the number of contaminaton explants was 60% and browning explants 87%. Key words : Explants, Marasi, Hormone, NAA, BAP
