  • The aims of this research was to know the process of teaching reading comprehension in narrative text through combination technique of Herringbone and Buzz and to know the improvement of teaching reading comprehension in narrative text through combination technique of Herringbone and Buzz. This research was held in tenth grade of SMK Banten Jaya Kota Serang. The subjects of this research were 11 students in Office Administration Major. The researcher conducted two cycles, cycle 1 and cycle 2. Each cycle was conducted in three meetings and consist of four stages; planning, action, observing, reflecting. The data were gained from test, observation and documentation. The data had been gotten from those techniques were used in improvement of teaching reading comprehension in narrative text through combination technique. The researcher result showed that in pre-test, the students got the average score 56.36%. In cycle 1, they got the average score 88.63%. Meanwhile in cycle 2, the students got the average score 94.09%. It was shown that from pre-test to post-test cycle 1 until post-test cycle 2 the students reading comprehension had improved. It improved 5.46% from cycle 1 to cycle 2. It means that learning reading comprehension in narrative text through combination technique of herringbone and buzz group had been improved of students reading comprehension of SMK Banten Jaya Kota Serang.
