- The research was aimed to determine the growth response and yield of three varieties of chili plants (Capsicum annum L.) to the dose of urea fertilizer. The method used was Randomized Completely Block Design (RCBD) with 2 factors. The first factor was the type of varieties (V) consisting of 3 levels, namely TM-999 variety (V1), Lado variety (V2), Romario variety (V3). The second factor was doses of urea fertilizer (P) consisting of 4 levels, namely control (P0), 250 kg/ha = 1,56 g/polybag (P1), 450 kg/ha = 2,81 g/polybag (P2), 650 kg/ha = 4,06 g/polybag (P3). The combination of these two factors resulted in 12 treatment combinations, each of which was repeated 3 times, so that 36 units were obtained. The observed parameters were plant height (cm), stem diameter (cm), flowering age (day), number of fruit (fruit), fruit weight (g), dry weight of fruit (g). The result showed that type of varieties gave significant effect on all observed parameters. TM-999 varieties gave the highest rates of plant height (29,29 cm), stem diameter (0,29 cm), flowering age (61,87 day), number of fruit (18,37 fruits), fruit weight (47,89 g) and dry weight of fruit (16,55 g). The dose of urea fertilizer showed no significant effect on all observation parameters. There was no interaction between type of varieties and doses of urea fertilizer.
