- ABSTRACT Ina Mutmainah . Implementation of Contextual Approach with Quantum Learning Method to Increase Mathematical Problem Solving Ability and Self Efficacy in Junior High School Students . This research is motivated by the students' mathematical problem solving ability is low . This can result in self - efficacy levels are low anyway so the lack of student interest in math . Efforts are made to these problems is to adopt a contextual approach to learning through Quantum Learning methods . The purpose of this study to determine the final achievement and improvement of mathematical problem solving ability and Student Self -Efficacy . This study used a quasi- experimental method with the entire student population at one class IX Junior High School in the city of Cilegon . The design of the study is the design of a non - equivalent control group . Sampling was done by cluster sampling technique while selecting the control and experimental classes performed by simple random technique . The instrument used in the form of instrument tests and non - test . Test instrument and a description about the non - test instruments such as the Self -Efficacy scale . Based on the research and found that the increase in the ultimate achievement of mathematical problem-solving ability of students who get a contextual learning approach through Quantum Learning methods better than students who get regular learning , whereas the increase and the final achievement of Self- Efficacy students gain contextual learning approach through the method of Quantum learning together with learning than students who received usual .
